A dauntless deer seemingly in search of medical care dashed into a Louisiana hospital — shocking staffers and visitors as it hoofed up an escalator onto the second floor, wild video shows.
The furry 4-year-old doe made her entrance without an appointment Monday afternoon at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge, surveillance video shows.
“Our team members are always ready for the unexpected,” the hospital said in a statement.
The animal, which wildlife officials suspect had been hit by a car, ran through the hospital’s front door – briefly slipping on the floor – before speeding past stunned onlookers and steadily making its way up an escalator in the wrong direction.
