Woman arrested for allegedly coughing on $35k worth of food

Cops busted the woman who allegedly coughed on about $35,000 worth of food at a Pennsylvania grocery store this week in what’s believed to be a “very twisted prank” amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Margaret Cirko, 35, was arrested Thursday by Hanover Township Police and hit with numerous charges, including making terroristic threats and disorderly conduct, WYOU reported.

Cirko visited the Hanover location of the small grocery chain Gerrity’s Supermarket before 2:20 p.m. Wednesday and hacked on fresh produce, a small section of the bakery, meat case and grocery items, co-owner Joe Fasula posted to Facebook Wednesday.

During the sick stunt, she allegedly yelled, “I have the virus, now you are all going to get sick,” according to the station.

Authorities do not believe the woman is infected with COVID-19, but will “make every effort” to get her tested, Fasula wrote.

Workers had no choice but to toss out all the food she made contact with.
