White House warns protesters outside of Supreme Court homes not to use violence

White House press secretary Jen Psaki had a few words for protesters gathering outside of the houses of Supreme Court justices.

Psaki tweeted Monday that the White House opposed intimidation tactics against the judges. The statement came after there were reports of vandalism at an anti-abortion center in Wisconsin and multiple protests outside of the homes of Supreme Court justices.

“[The White House] strongly believes in the Constitutional right to protest. But that should never include violence, threats, or vandalism,” Psaki said. “Judges perform an incredibly important function in our society, and they must be able to do their jobs without concern for their personal safety.”
