The White House has pulled its nomination of Dave Weldon for Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) director.
A source from the White House shared, “It became clear that the votes weren’t there in the Senate for him to get confirmed. This would have been a futile effort.”
As a result of the White House of withdrawing its nomination of Weldon, The Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee has cancelled his hearing which was scheduled on Thursday morning.
President Trump just withdrew Dr. Dave Weldon’s nomination to lead CDC.

Dr. Weldon is a MAHA champion who SLAMMED the CDC’s censorship of vaccine safety data in a 2002 hearing.
“The CDC still does not allow researchers access to the vaccine safety data.”
