French President Emmanuel Macron is set to speak in Davos at the World Economic Forum on Tuesday at 8:00 a.m.
Macron launched to the center of the American foreign policy conversation on Monday as he urged European leaders to use the “trade bazooka” in response to President Donald Trump’s threatened tariffs on European countries that disagree with his aims of acquiring Greenland.
The future of the Arctic island, now a territory of Denmark, is largely expected to be a hot topic among the major world leaders gathered in Davos. As Trump boarded Air Force One overnight, he threatened Macron with a 200% tariff on French wines and champagnes if Macron was hostile to joining his Board of Peace.
