A group of European dignitaries is set to arrive at the White House on Monday. They will show support for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in his bilateral meeting with President Donald Trump.
Zelensky’s meeting comes three days after Russian President Vladimir Putin met with Trump in Alaska about ending the war in Ukraine.
The European leaders traveling to Washington, D.C., include French President Emmanuel Macron, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Finnish President Alexander Stubb, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte, and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. All are expected to take part in Monday’s talks.
