MINNEAPOLIS (EXCLUSIVE) — Vice President JD Vance told the Washington Examiner that the Trump administration will take disciplinary action “when justified” against Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers who make “mistakes” effectuating President Donald Trump’s deportation agenda.
Vance’s comments mark a significant departure from what he told reporters in a White House briefing the day after an ICE officer shot and killed Renee Good in Minneapolis. At the time, Vance, like other senior administration officials, suggested that ICE officers have “absolute immunity” while carrying out federal law enforcement proceedings.
