Up To $5,000 Per Person Incoming After Healthcare Firm Settles Data Breach Lawsuit That Exposed Records of 904,672 Patients


A healthcare firm has agreed to shell out millions of dollars to settle a class action lawsuit over a data breach that exposed patients’ sensitive information.

According to the settlement administrator’s portal, Essen Medical Associates has agreed to pay $4 million to settle the lawsuit that was filed after hackers gained access to the New York-based healthcare provider’s network.

The data breach impacted 907,782 current or former patients.
