UCLA student charged over Capitol riot after sitting in Mike Pence’s chair


A white-nationalist Californian student filmed sitting in the Senate chair that then-Vice President Mike Pence had just fled during the Capitol riot has been charged, according to an FBI affidavit.

Christian Secor — who founded an ultra-right-wing group at UCLA — was identified by 11 tipsters who saw him on the Senate floor during the Jan. 6 uprising, according to the affidavit.

It included footage of him “sitting in the Chair of the Presiding Officer” at the head of the Senate chamber that “had been occupied by the Vice President” before lawmakers were forced to flee, the document stated.

Wearing a red MAGA hat and carrying a large blue “America First” flag, the 22-year-old student was also filmed “breaking through a police line” and pushing open a door to allow “dozens of additional rioters” to flood inside, the affidavit said.
