Authorities have now charged two Venezuelan nationals with the deadly shooting in Chicago last December that left three people dead and five others injured. Both were reportedly living in the U.S. without legal status.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) confirmed this week that Ricardo Granadillo Padilla, 25, and Edward Martinez Cermeno, 24, are facing charges related to the December 2 shooting, which took place at a house party.
According to a report from FOX 32 Chicago, eight people—five men and three women aged between 20 and 35—were shot during the incident. The victims sustained gunshot wounds to the head, abdomen, and limbs. Among those killed were men aged 26 and 28.
