Trump names Michigan GOP Chairman Pete Hoekstra to be next ambassador to Canada

President-elect Donald Trump nominated Michigan Republican Chairman Pete Hoekstra to be the next U.S. ambassador to Canada.

Hoekstra was a representative from Michigan for 18 years and was Trump’s ambassador to the Netherlands during his first administration.
