
President Donald Trump appointed 13 executives, including Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Oracle co-founder Larry Ellison, to his newly formed science and technology council on Wednesday.
The White House announced the appointments in a statement after the news was reported by the Wall Street Journal.

The President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology is expected to advise Trump on policy regarding artificial intelligence, cryptocurrency, and other related areas. The panel will be co-chaired by White House AI and crypto czar David Sacks and presidential science adviser Michael Kratsios.
“Under President Trump, PCAST will focus on topics related to the opportunities and challenges that emerging technologies present to the American workforce, and ensuring all Americans thrive in the Golden Age of Innovation,” the White House said.
