President Donald Trump has nominated national security adviser Mike Waltz to become the next United States ambassador to the United Nations.
In addition, Secretary of State Marco Rubio will be acting national security adviser.
Trump’s social media post caps a day of speculation that the president was planning to push Waltz out of his administration altogether.
Trump withdrew Rep. Elise Stefanik’s (R-NY) nomination in March because of House Speaker Mike Johnson’s (R-LA) slim majority in the chamber.
