Trump fired NSA director Tim Haugh after Loomer meeting: Report

President Donald Trump fired National Security Agency Director Gen. Tim Haugh after controversial right-wing activist Laura Loomer raised concerns that there were possibly treacherous “Biden holdovers” operating in the White House, according to multiple media reports.

Haugh, who was NSA chief and oversaw the U.S. Cyber Command, was released from his positions on Thursday alongside his civilian deputy at the NSA, Wendy Noble, per the Washington Post and other outlets. Noble was reportedly reallocated to another position at the Pentagon.

Loomer told the outlet she advocated during the Wednesday meeting that Haugh and Noble be fired. She celebrated the reported firings in a post to X, which further suggested her meeting with Trump in the Oval Office was responsible for the news.
