The department will review more than 55 million visas Thursday as the Trump administration continues cracking down on people living in the country illegally.
“We review all available information as part of our vetting, including law enforcement or immigration records or any other information that comes to light after visa issuance indicating a potential ineligibility,” the department said.
The department told the Associated Press that all U.S. visa holders are subject to “continuous vetting” with an eye toward any indication that they could be ineligible for the document.

If such information were found, the visa would be revoked and the person would be subject to deportation if they were located in the United States. The department will be surveying for ineligibility signs such as visa
