Trump administration mocks Newsom social media strategy in rare official White House meme press statement


The Trump administration isn’t impressed with Gov. Gavin Newsom’s (D-CA) new social media strategy, responding with mockery of its own in one of the first-ever official White House press statements consisting of a meme.

Over the past week, Newsom’s social media team has attempted to replicate President Donald Trump’s distinctive and aggressive social media posting style, complete with all-caps posts and frequent use of hyperbole. The White House conveyed that it wasn’t impressed in one of its first meme statements on the matter, first sent to Politico and obtained by the Washington Examiner.
