Top MIT Nuclear Scientist Shot Dead in Brookline, Massachusetts Home


An MIT professor was fatally shot inside his Brookline, Massachusetts apartment in what authorities are treating as an active homicide investigation. Nuno F.G. Loureiro, 47, a professor of nuclear science, engineering, and physics, was shot Monday night and pronounced dead at a hospital early Tuesday.
