Tiger Woods allegedly carried opioid pills in pocket during crash, police say

Golf legend Tiger Woods allegedly carried two hydrocodone pills in his left pocket as he crashed his vehicle in Florida late last week, according to an arrest affidavit.

Woods was suspected of driving under the influence, for which he was arrested Friday afternoon. He was released from jail later that day.

In the official document obtained by multiple news outlets, local police say Woods had “bloodshot and glassy” eyes and that his pupils were “extremely dilated” at the time of the crash. Police also say he exhibited “lethargic and slow” movements and that he was “sweating profusely.”

The golfer told officers he did not consume alcohol before the rollover crash around 2 p.m. Friday, but he did admit to taking prescription medication that morning.
