We’ve seen every trick in the book to inflate COVID-19 case and death rates.
Pay hospitals for putting patients on ventilators and diagnosing patients as having COVID-19.
Use a threshold of 40 for PCR tests to increase the likelihood of popping positive.
And now another sneaky incentive has emerged that is ripe for scammers to take advantage of.
Through FEMA, the federal government allows families to apply for upwards of $9,000 for funeral expenses for someone who died from COVID-19.
Now, everyone who passes away deserves a proper funeral.
But why is this limited to only COVID-19 deaths?
Why not victims of heart disease, stroke, cancer, car accidents, or any other causes of death?
Because you know many people will take advantage of this program for the funds.
For someone desperate for the money, that’s an incentive to list their relative’s death as COVID-19.
And if many people do that, COVID-19 death rates could soar higher.
