This past weekend the city of Charlottesville, Virginia removed the monuments of Confederate generals Thomas “Stonewall” Jackson and Robert E. Lee. However, the removals of these historic monuments were only the beginning.
Charlottesville bent its knee in accordance with the spirit of the times by then proceeding to remove the Sacajawea, Lewis and Clark monument from the intersection of West Main and Ridge streets.
