Texas teen killed in road-rage incident after Houston Astros game


A 17-year-old Texas boy died after an unhinged driver shot at his family’s car as they were heading home from a Houston Astros game, according to authorities and his family.

David Xavier Castro was killed in the apparent road-rage incident, his father said Wednesday.

“One of the gentlest souls to walk the earth was taken from us today,” Paul Castro wrote in a heartbreaking post on Facebook.

“David will be missed by a world that barely got to know him.”

The father and his two sons were driving back from the Astros game Tuesday at around 11 p.m., when the dad and a man in a white sedan “exchanged hand gestures,” police said.

The sedan driver followed the family’s truck — and then opened fire, shooting David in the head, KPRC-TV reported.

Police said Wednesday that the teen was on life support, but his dad later confirmed that he had died.
