Texas commissioner injured, husband stabbed to death by grandson: Police


A North Texas county commissioner was stabbed and her husband was killed at the hands of their grandson, authorities said on Monday. 

Denton County Commissioner Bobbie Mitchell sustained injuries during the attack at her home. Her husband, Fred, was pronounced dead due to stab wounds early Monday morning.

The Lewisville Police Department charged the couple’s ​23-year-old grandson, Mitchell Reinacher, with murder after the incident. Reinacher, who allegedly carried out the attack using a serrated kitchen knife, was found at the scene of the incident and was arrested on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
