‘Tehran is burning,’ Israel defense minister says after oil depot strikes


Israeli Defense Minister Israeli Katz confirmed his earlier warning on Saturday that the state of Tehran “will burn” if Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei continued his counterattacks.

In a short post on X, Katz wrote, “Tehran is burning,” a statement that follows Israeli strikes on two oil depots in Iran.

Specifically, Israel hit the Shahran oil depot in western Tehran, along with another oil facility in southern Tehran. Footage of the aftermath shows massive fires raging in the distance following the strikes.

The Shahran depot is one of Iran’s key fuel sites, reportedly consisting of 11 tanks that produce around 7 million liters of oil a day.

Despite the visible damage to the depot, Iran insisted little was lost after the strikes.
