Ted Cruz says Tucker Carlson has gone ‘batcrap crazy’ on American foreign policy

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) said Tucker Carlson has gone “off the rails” regarding the United States’s foreign policy.

Cruz’s comments follow the Wednesday morning release of his testy appearance on The Tucker Carlson Show, which was conducted right after the conflict between Israel and Iran escalated last week. During the interview, Carlson challenged Cruz over whether he believed Iran has tried to kill President Donald Trump, arguing the senator would have called for “military strikes against them in retaliation” if so. Cruz responded by saying, “We are carrying out military strikes today,” before being pressed to clarify that Israel is doing so with American help and later insisting, “We’re not bombing them. Israel is bombing them.”
