Transplant recipients are rejecting their new organ after receiving a COVID-19 inoculation, according to a new study published in the Journal of Clinical Medicine.
18 health experts and researchers from Japan conducted the study to systematically evaluate and characterize the currently reported cases of acute corneal graft rejection after COVID-19 injections.
“A rejection graft occurs when the recipient’s immune system rejects tissue from a donor, in this case, the cornea,” The Gateway Pundit noted.
“The cornea is the transparent layer forming the front of the eye. Corneal allograft transplantation is the most frequently performed organ transplant procedure worldwide.”
