State House Passes Resolution To Recognize “Pakistan Day”


The Texas House of Representatives passed a resolution declaring March 23rd as “Pakistan Day.”

“WHEREAS, March 23, 2025, is Pakistan Day, the day that commemorates the 85th anniversary of the Lahore Resolution, and it is fitting to welcome those visiting the State Capitol in observance of the day,” the two-page resolution reads.

“WHEREAS, Pakistan Day is observed annually on March 23rd by over 80,000 Pakistanis that call Texas home and by Pakistanis all over the world,” it continued.

“WHEREAS, This occasion provides the opportunity to recognize the societal, religious, linguistic, and economic contributions of the people and families who have immigrated to Texas from Pakistan,” it added.
