Authorities in Washington state are on the hunt for six of 14 inmates who made a daring escape from a jail by using a table to bust open an exterior fire door and jumped a tall fence, according to reports.
Eight of the jailbirds have been caught after the group made the mad dash from an annex at the Yakima County Jail about 7 p.m. Monday, according to KOMO News.
Video shot by a witness shows the inmates scattering in all directions with police and corrections officers in hot pursuit.
Firefighters in an area station managed to tackle one of the escapees, while cops rounded up seven others, the news station reported.
All of the inmates – ranging in age from 26 to 34 — are low-level offenders held on a slew of charges including drugs, assault, obstructing officers, identity theft, vehicle theft and gun possession.
