Scott Bessent: “One of the reasons 9/11 happened is because airlines refused to pay for reinforced doors”

Earlier today I brought you Tucker Carlson’s interview of Scott Bessent.

But one really strange part jumped out at me.

I don’t want to make a bigger deal of this than is necessary, but it just struck me as an incredibly strange thing to say.

While making an analogy to how he and President Trump are adding reinforcements to the US economy, Bessent compared it to 9/11 and said “one of the reasons 9/11 happened was because airlines refused to pay for reinforced steel doors.”

What??

I thought the reason 9/11 happened was because terrorists
