Sad sap shells out $26K to replace stolen Honda but finds out he bought his own car back: ‘Only f–king me’


A British man desperate to replace his stolen car said he did just that — by unwittingly buying it back.

Ewan Valentine, 36, of Solihull, England, is now hoping his insurance company can make good on the boneheaded blunder that left him without his beloved wheels and lighter in the wallet.

Valentine shelled out $26,000 for a souped-up black 2016 Honda Civic Type-R in February to replace the same model that had been pinched from his overnight parking spot, he said on Instagram.

“I decided to buy something as close to my stolen one as possible,” he said in the post.
