Russia bombs apartment buildings, university in Ukraine, injuring 12


Russia launched a bombing attack on civilian infrastructure in the Zaporizhzhia region of Ukraine on Sunday night, which injured at least 12 people.

The attack included multiple guided aerial bombs that struck residential areas, a bus station, and a university medical clinic, Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced. The 12 injured include both men and women between the ages of 24 and 77.

The strikes received swift condemnation from Ukrainian officials, including President Volodymyr Zelensky, who suggested Russia is not looking to bring an end to the over three-year war.

“No deadlines, no expectations work on them — they do not want to stop the killings. The only thing they are looking for is a way to kill Ukraine,” Zelensky said, before calling for immediate sanctions
