Russia bombards Kyiv with deadliest attack in months


Russia struck Kyiv with drones and missiles in an overnight attack Tuesday, killing at least 15 in Ukraine and injuring 116 others.

“Putin is doing this solely because he can afford to keep waging war. He wants the war to go on,” Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said in a statement from the G7 summit.

“It’s a disgrace when the powerful of this world turn a blind eye to it,” he added.

Zelensky had traveled to Canada for the summit this week. President Donald Trump left the summit ahead of schedule, citing meetings to attend in Washington related to Israel’s clash with Iran. As a result, Trump will miss a planned breakfast he had with Zelensky. 

The Ukrainian Air Force said the attack included 440 drones
