‘Riverdale’ Actor Ryan Grantham Sentenced To Life In Prison For Murdering His Mother


Canadian actor Ryan Grantham was sentenced to life in prison for second degree murder after admitting to shooting his mother in the back of the head.

The 24-year-old star is best known for his roles in “Riverdale” and “Diary of a Wimpy Kid.” He began acting at the age of 9. Now Grantham is making headlines for an entirely different reason. 

In March 2020, the actor shot his mom, Barbara Waite, at their home in Squamish, British Columbia. He used a .22 rifle to kill her while she was playing the piano, according to Variety. The young actor then took a video recording of himself confessing to the crime.

The next day, he covered the body with a sheet, surrounded it with lit candles and hung a rosary
