Rioters tried to save man with chest compressions amid Capitol riot: video


Pro-Trump protesters attempted to resuscitate a man outside of the US Capitol building amid the violent unrest that left five dead in Washington DC, video shows.

Footage showed two people performing chest compressions on the unidentified man on the ground Wednesday as others called for help.

“We’re trying to save this guy’s life right now,” said Tyler Baggins, who filmed the video.

The group then cleared a path to carry the man from out of the crowd.

“Get out of the way, everybody. We’ve got to get this guy out of here,” Baggins could be heard saying.

“Hopefully we can get this guy an ambulance… We’ve got a couple minutes here. This guy has been down for five minutes.”

But after carrying him for about a minute, they stop to attempt CPR again on him.

It’s unclear what happened to him, but some members of the crowd speculated that he suffered a heart attack.
