The Republican leader of Indiana’s state Senate said on Friday there are not enough votes to move forward on redrawing the state’s congressional map.
“Over the last several months, Senate Republicans have given very serious and thoughtful consideration to the concept of redrawing our state’s congressional maps. Today, I’m announcing there are not enough votes to move that idea forward, and the Senate will not reconvene in December,” Senate President Pro Tempore Rodric Bray stated, according to WTHR.
According to POLITICO, President Trump’s team began summoning Indiana lawmakers to meet with Trump in the Oval Office as early as next week.
