Former Republican Georgia Lt. Gov. Geoff Duncan has switched his party affiliation to Democrat.
“GOP policies on tax cuts, health insurance and immigration pushed me to switch political parties,” Duncan wrote in an op-ed for The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
“Loving my neighbor is easier now,” he added.

“My journey to becoming a Democrat started well before Donald Trump tried to steal the 2020 election in Georgia. My decision was centered around my daily struggle to love my neighbor, as a Republican,” Duncan wrote on social media.
