President Trump says ‘Goodbye!’ to NPR as he cuts interview short


President Donald Trump made waves on Tuesday when he unexpectedly cut short an interview with NPR’s Steve Inskeep.

An interview that was supposed to last 15 minutes ended up lasting around nine after Inskeep repeatedly interrupted the 45th president to dispute his comments.

After the NPR host blew his chance to respectfully interview Trump after six years of begging him to come on their program, according to NPR themselves, Inskeep could not resist highlighting the fact he was “hung up on.”

For about six years I’ve been asking Donald Trump for an interview. It never happened until the former president came on the line today. Tomorrow on @MorningEdition we’ll hear what he said, up to the moment that he hung up on me.
