D.C. is among the most deep-blue places on the U.S. map, so it wasn’t altogether surprising that the bishop who led this week’s inauguration prayer service was preoccupied with “woke” social issues.
Nevertheless, Bishop Mariann Edgar Budde’s comments were deemed especially partisan by many critics, including Trump himself.
In a social media statement, the president called on Budde to apologize to the American people.
According to The Hill:
“The so-called Bishop who spoke at the National Prayer Service on Tuesday morning was a Radical Left hard line Trump hater. She brought her church into the World of politics in a very ungracious way. She was nasty in tone, and not compelling or smart,” he said.
“She failed to mention the large number of illegal migrants
