Kansas City International Airport went into a brief lockdown on Wednesday that prompted evacuations.
According to KSN, some people inside the airport were evacuated around 11 a.m. while authorities investigated a “potential threat.”
The airport reopened shortly after 12 p.m.

Jackson Overstreet, the public information officer for the city’s aviation department, said the lockdown was due to a suspected bomb being located in a bathroom by baggage claim.
As of 12:30 p.m., the city confirmed that the airport is back open and operating as normal.
