Parts That Could Possibly Detach While Driving Prompts Ford Recall Of 130,000+ Vehicles


Ford is recalling nearly 133,000 SUVs because of two parts that can potentially detach while the vehicle is in motion.

“Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2020-2025 Aviator vehicles. The rear door window bars
and C-pillar trim may have insufficient adhesive bonding, which can allow the trim to detach from the
vehicle,” the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said in a letter.

“Detached trim may cause a road hazard and increase the risk of a crash,” it added.
