Padilla responds to removal from Noem press conference: ‘​​We will hold this administration accountable’


Sen. Alex Padilla (D-CA) addressed his forced removal from Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem’s press conference in Los Angeles on Thursday. 

Padilla said he was near the area where the press conference was held when he decided to attend because he had been asking the Department of Homeland Security for “more information and more answers” on its “increasingly extreme immigration enforcement actions.”

“If this is how this administration responds to a senator with a question, if this is how the Department of Homeland Security responds to a senator asking a question, you can only imagine what they are doing to farmers, to cooks, to day laborers throughout Los Angeles, throughout California, and throughout the country,” Padilla said after the incident.
