Unelected New York Democrat Governor Kathy Hochul has been pushing hard for gun control measures in her state in the wake of the Uvalde, Texas, massacre. Now she is aiming to lead her party in protection for abortion providers.
On Monday, Hochul signed a package of bills into law just ahead of an expected Supreme Court ruling that could overturn the Roe v. Wade decision.
As the New York Post reported, the six bills that were signed into law by Hochul are intended to turn New York into a sanctuary for women from out-of-state who are seeking abortions.
For instance, one of the new laws will ban the authorities in New York from cooperating with out-of-state probes into lawful abortions.
