NRA appears supportive of 'bipartisan gun safety framework'


The National Rifle Association appears to be in favor of proposed gun control legislation that has bipartisan support.

The NRA offered its opinion on a framework to combat gun violence presented by Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT) and Sen. John Cornyn (R-TX), including the promotion of red flag laws and funding for mental health and school security. The pro-gun rights organization appears to support the contents of the framework but hesitated to offer a full endorsement.
