A representative for Dominion Voting Systems on Sunday hit back at claims that the software company meddled in the election to benefit President-elect Joe Biden — stressing it was “not physically possible” for its machines to change voter selections.
Michael Steel addressed claims by attorneys for President Trump’s campaign that Dominion’s systems switched votes to Biden, The Hill reported.
“This is a nonpartisan American company. It is not physically possible for our machines to switch votes from one candidate to the other,” Steel said on Fox News’ “America’s News HQ.”
“Our election system is run by local elected officials and nonpartisan poll watchers. We simply provide a tool to count the ballots and to print and count ballots.”
Trump campaign attorney Sidney Powell had also alleged that Dominion used Smartmatic technology, claiming that the other company’s software was “created in Venezuela at the direction of Hugo Chavez,” the late Venezuelan president who died in 2013.
