North Korea’s Kim touts ‘eternal and indestructible’ bond in birthday message to Putin


North Korean leader Kim Jong Un emphasized the strong relationship between his country and Russia in a birthday message to President Vladimir Putin. 

The communist country’s leader called Putin his “dearest comrade,” among other pleasantries, according to reports. Kim also touted the strong relationship between the two countries. He was quite complimentary of the Russian president when delivering the greeting on Tuesday. 

“My most intimate comrade, Vladimir Putin, I extend my warmest and most heartfelt congratulations to you on your meaningful birthday,” Kim said, according to Rodong Sinmun, North Korea’s state-run media. He praised Putin’s “wise leadership and patriotic devotion.”
