North Carolina couple wanted for murder could be hiding in Smoky Mountains

A North Carolina couple wanted in connection to a shooting death is believed to be “armed and dangerous” — and could be hiding out in the Smoky Mountains, authorities said.

Tangela Parker, 49, and her husband Eric Parker, 61, haven’t been seen since she allegedly shot and killed her furniture plant colleague, Phelifia Michele Marlow, 51, on Jan. 14 in Hickory, news station WATE reported.

Eric then allegedly drove his wife away from the scene after the fatal incident, news station WBIR reported.

Tangela Parker faces a first-degree murder charge.
