New York Times “reporter” and CNN analyst Maggie Haberman falsely claimed that former President Donald Trump refused to encourage Americans to get vaccinated against COVID-19.
“Notable. The former president, who wants credit for the vaccines developed during his presidency, has declined to take such a step,” Haberman, who has a track record of lying about the Republican, tweeted on Thursday morning.
Despite Haberman’s evidenceless and blatantly false claim, Trump has long supported the push for vaccinating Americans and has repeatedly encouraged people to get their jab. In March, Haberman’s employer, the New York Times, ran a story headlined, “On vaccines, Trump tells his hesitant supporters, ‘I would recommend it.’”
