Facebook announced Friday it is suspending President Trump for a minimum of two years until January 7, 2023 and will condition reinstatement on experts’ opinions on whether Trump being on Facebook and sister properties including Instagram poses a “serious risk to public safety.”
Even videos of interviews by President Trump are banned on Facebook and Instagram.
Trump’s suspension was imposed the day after the January 6 Capitol riots during Congress’ certification of the Electoral College votes for president and vice president that stopped the proceedings for several hours.
