Nearly 50 People Sickened With Salmonella Linked To Supplement Sold Nationwide


At least 45 people were sickened with salmonella food poisoning linked to a Super Greens diet supplement powder, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said.

“The FDA and CDC, in collaboration with state and local partners, are investigating illnesses in a multistate outbreak of Salmonella Typhimurium infections linked to Live it Up-brand Super Greens dietary supplement powder produced by Superfoods, Inc. doing business as (dba) Live it Up of New York, NY,” the FDA stated.

“Based on epidemiological information collected by CDC, a total of 45 people infected with the outbreak strain of Salmonella have been reported from 21 states.
