Murder Suspect in Washington May Have Stabbed Man for Not Wearing a Mask


A man was murdered last weekend in Washington following a brief confrontation with another man turned violent.

Police say that 29-year-old John Huynh was stabbed to death by Ian Patrick Williams, a 25-year-old college student.

The suspect has now been charged with second degree murder.

Initial motives for the murder included the possibility that it was a hate crime.

Police are now alleging that the attack may have been motivated by the fact that the victim was not wearing a mask.

The suspect allegedly told his mother following the murder that he was attacked by an “anti-masker.”

The murder took place last Sunday.
