Going into Tuesday’s election, the race between Presley and Reeves was tight. RSBN previously reported that at least ten percent of voters were undecided about who they would vote for just a few weeks out from the election.
On Tuesday night, several outlets began projecting that Reeves would win as the incumbent governor continued to widen the gap between himself and Presley. At 11:00 p.m. ET with 75 percent of precincts reporting, Gov. Reeves had earned 53.47 percent of Mississippians’ vote against Presley’s 45.21 percent, via data from the Decision Desk. They called the race for Reeves at around 11:15 p.m.
